Angkor Wat at Sunrise

Day 7 · 28 November 2024

Our second day at Angkor began before dawn at Angkor Wat, followed by the giant stone faces of Bayon and the tree-covered ruins of Ta Prohm.

Our second day began in darkness with the classic Angkor experience: sunrise at Angkor Wat.

After exploring the temple, we continued to Bayon, famous for its enormous carved stone faces, before finishing at Ta Prohm, where giant tree roots twist through the ruins and over collapsed galleries.

It was the most famous combination of sights on our three-day visit, bringing together three of Angkor’s best-known and most distinctive temples.
